Valcalepio Rosso 2013 - Tenuta Castello di Grumello

Produced from Merlot (50%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) grapes grown on vines with a south-westerly exposure on a calcareous clay marl at a height of about 200 m. above sea level.
Matured in oak barrels for 12 months and aged in the bottle. Ruby red colour, intense bouquet with hints of marasca cherry and a dry, warm flavour.
A wine to accompany the whole, rich range of traditional Italian hors d’oeuvres, cheeses, and first and second courses. Serve at a temperature of 18-20°C. Ageing: 3 – 5 years.
